Here we can explore what makes this place special with its sweeping views over the city. We can then wander the streets of the Higashiyama district. Amazing Arashiyama and the Bamboo Forest

We meet at JR Saga-Arashiyama station and from there we take a short taxi ride to the Otagi Nembutsuji temple. This is a temple of healing and it's filled with thousands of delightful stone statues of "jizo" buddhas. After a stop here we walk through the charming preserved district streets until we reach the Arashiyama Bamboo Forest. From there we take you through the temple grounds of Tenryuji Temple which is an incredible place with a splendid zen garden. We conclude the tour in the village of Arashiyama. From here we can even help you reserve a ticket for the Romantic train and Hozu rapids boat journey to complete your day of adventure.

Discover the Bountiful Nature and Gardens of Eastern Kyoto

We start the tour at the approach to Ginkakuji temple , aka the Silver Pavillion, a place steeped in history and one of the most beautiful gardens in all of Japan. After that, we stroll along the Path of Philosophy, a nature-filled path with charming sights along the way. This path leads us to Nanzen-ji, a grand temple with a turn-of-the-century aqueduct running through its grounds. Our final stop is the Heian Shrine, a replica of the 8th-century emperor's palace with a spectacular and peaceful garden to spend the rest of the afternoon.

Immerse Yourself in the Beauty of Western Kyoto

We meet at the entrance to Kitano Tenmangu Shrine a place steeped in history and folklore. After that, we stroll through the Kamishichiken Geisha District, which is the oldest geisha district in Kyoto. From there it's a 30 min stroll through charming residential neighborhoods until we reach Ryoan-ji, the most famous rock garden in Japan where you can feel the zen atmosphere. Finally, it's a trip to Kinkakuji, aka the "Golden Pavilion", a must-see of Kyoto which is absolutely dazzling in the late afternoon sun.
