Thanks for booking the Treasures of the South tour!
The meeting point is JR Inari Station and from here we get a chance to explore the famous Fushimi Inari Shrine with it’s thousands of red gates in the relative calm of the early morning.
From there we will take taxi to Kiyomizu Temple and the city will then start to be coming alive. Hopefully we can get there at around before the busses start to unload . After exploring the amazing Kiyomizu temple we will take a walk through the quiet streets in the preserved district of Higashiyama. This is a great place to conclude the tour as you are in the heart of the city and can explore more of the gems of Kyoto from there.
The tour lasts around 3hrs, and by then you will have seen the top two places in all of Kyoto before breakfast! Note that we don't stop for a meal during the tour but you can always get a snack from a convenience store along the way or have something to eat after the tour. You also have the option of getting a full day of fun with us by booking another half day tour!
We suggest that you take a train or taxi to the meeting point and unless you have signed up for a private tour, there will likely be a couple of other other likeminded travellers joining us. For that reason, we ask that you do your best to research the best route and timetable to get there on time. We also can recommend using the UBER app to connect with MK Taxis during your stay in Kyoto.

TERMS: Free cancellation if you let us know 48hr before your arrival. We start the tour at right on time and wait no more than 10 minutes for those who arrive late unless your booking is the only one for the day. We have a max of eight participants on the tour with an average of 3-4 people a day.
